Why this website
I work as a Research Manager at an AI safety fellowship program. I see many thousands of applications from people who want to get into AI safety. Fellowships alone cannot scale to this level.
So this site is an attempt to put a lot of useful resources in one place, and let people self-learn -- the guidance that would otherwise only reach the small number of people who make it through a program.
One extra step
A paid career call
Beyond the free resources here, there's one extra step: a paid career call with me, and eventually hopefully with other advisors too.
There are free mentoring services out there, and they're worth using — but demand exceeds supply. Paid calls are a way to make more of that time available.

Please note that this site is created in a personal capacity only, and not affiliated with ERA or any other fellowship. Any mentoring calls are provided in a personal capacity.

Privacy
This site uses Plausible to count visits. It sets no cookies, collects no personal data, and doesn't track you across websites — so there's no consent banner to click. All it tells me is roughly how many people read each page and where they arrived from.
The web server also keeps standard access logs, which are aggregated into visitor counts with anonymised IP addresses. Nothing is sold or shared, and there are no ads or third-party trackers anywhere on the site.
